How I have Been Surviving Covid-19

Studying holistic health has gotten me to look at my whole life, and how different factors are affecting me. In normal times, social life, career, love, relationships and spirituality are all important, but they are essential to keeping you Sane during covid 19.

Of course, social life and intimacy are affected by the pandemic, and life can feel horrible. But if you focus on having meaningful relationships- with family, loved ones and friends, and with Yourself, you will be able to feel fulfilled during a very stressful time.

Everyone is walking and driving around in a state of panic, reacting to people they see on the street with anger a lot of the time. But if you let this roll off your back and just tell yourself this time will end, you will get through it. Also, if it is warm where you live- most places are warm by now, just looking up at the sun and appreciating it for giving you warmth feels really good!

A couple of the things I have done to get through it are first, forming a better relationship with myself. Being alone and still feeling fulfilled is possible. I wake up early in the morning, because that is a quiet time for me to reflect and have coffee and plan my day. I currently don’t have a job, so I’m coming up with ways to start a business. Something that will hopefully work while social distancing.

It is not easy, but it is a work in progress.

I then go for a bike ride, which just sets the tone for the whole day. I really feel eating healthy and exercising are getting me through this horrible time. I suggest finding something you like, that feels fun, that you can do. Yoga is also very beneficial, and great to do before bed.

Another great thing to do before bed is to have a turmeric latte. It is relaxing and delicious and packs anti-inflammatory benefits.

I still have bad days, of course, but focusing on the positive is the best way to be. I have always been interested in art and music, and that is also something i largely focus on.

Learning something, whether you are reading, taking a course or searching the internet, is really fulfilling. Also, something as simple as discovering a new song on the radio or on Spotify can give you a Great feeling!

Lastly, my dear cat fills me with positivity simply just walking into the room. She is an endless source of happiness, love and cuteness!
