Looking back to last summer in Lions Head OntarioLions head is a great place to visit, especially in the summer. Like a lot of places in this area of Ontario, there are endless water views. In Lions Head, there are also mountains to climb, leading you to wonderful lookout spots. We started the day checking out the local beach and campsite, where people camp in tents and trailers by the water. After that, we got some lunch at a local restaurant. The town itself is very small, just a couple of restaurants and an ice cream parlour. We got started late in the day, so I rushed to start a hike in the last hours of daylight. The hike started off in woods, and I found myself climbing over tiny hills and endless rock formations. It was very interesting visually. The hike to the top took about an hour, where I was finally greeted by a tiny lookout point onto the water. I was standing on a sheer cliff, looking out over the horizon and the water. Not for the faint of heart, there was no protective fence, and the lookout was on a very high piece of rock. I caught the sunset, and the scene was breathtaking. The walk back took about 40 minutes. I then enjoyed some fish and chips at the local restaurant. This was well worth the time and effort, and will definitely be going back next summer.
